Somatic Experiencing:
Why Somatic Work?
Insight alone rarely convinces the nervous system to feel safe.
By re-learning the language of sensation, we can metabolize past overwhelm, break stubborn loops, and return to our natural ease, creativity, and joy.
I use Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) combined with Internal Family System® (IFS™) and my two decades of training in many diverse somatic therapeutic modalities to release trapped survival energy, integrate outcast parts of self, and re-shape the relational templates held in your body.
Do any of these sound familiar?
Repeating behavior loops you just can’t break
Persistent anxiety or depressive lows
Habit-based addictions (scrolling, snacking, over-work)
Chronic overwhelm, hyper-vigilance, or a constant sense of urgency
Fatigue, brain fog, or the feeling of being “stuck”
Relationship friction and frequent ruptures in connection
OCD, ADD/ADHD, or reactivity that feels out of your control
Digestive troubles such as IBS, bloating, or constipation
Long-haul COVID or other chronic illness patterns
Shame spirals and the thought: “I’ve talked this to death—why hasn’t it changed?”
If so, your body is asking for a different conversation.

How Somatic Experiencing® Works
SE™ gently guides the nervous system to discharge trapped survival energy and finish the protective actions it never got to complete. As those impulses unwind, stress chemistry settles, and a flexible resilience emerges—often the missing bridge between insight and sustainable change.
